Ohio EPA Requests Comments on Alexandria Asphalt Plant Draft Permit

Ohio EPA will hold a public hearing to discuss the draft permit-to-install and operate for a new asphalt plant located at 1400 Tharp Road, Alexandria. 

An information session will begin at 6 p.m. Thursday, June 8, at the Church of Christ at Alexandria, 5380 Moots Run Road, immediately followed by a hearing to accept public comments on the draft permit. During the information session, Ohio EPA will give a brief presentation and accept questions from the public regarding the draft permit-to-install and operate. 

Ohio EPA issued a draft air pollution permit-to-install and operate to Scioto Materials Plant 134. All comments received before June 15 will be considered before a final decision is made on the draft permit. Anyone may submit comments or request to be on the mailing list for information. The draft permit is available for review on Ohio EPA’s website, or at Ohio EPA’s Central District Office by calling 614-728-3778 for an appointment.
